Bay Marine Boatworks (BMB) is one of four shipyards in the San Francisco Bay Area operated as an affiliate of Bay Ship & Yacht Co. BMB is based in Richmond, California; near historic Point Richmond. Bay Marine Boatworks provides repair services for commercial and government vessels as well as for smaller day-sailors and power craft.
A specialty at Bay Marine Boatworks and her sister shipyard, Bay Ship & Yacht in Alameda, is the construction and reconstruction of historic and traditional vessels, in wood or steel, sail or steam.
We have several openings for a variety of experienced craftspeople in the following areas:
Marine Machinist, Boat Carpenter, Yacht Rigger, Electrician, Diesel Engine Mechanic, & Marine Painters
The ideal candidates will all possess the following skills:
•Possess a full range of skill and knowledge in the overhaul and repair of modern marine vessels
•Specific skill sets in the above specialties are also required, i.e. intermediate to advanced level proficiency with a full range of mechanical skill and knowledge
•A trade skill level of competency with English is required for safe and efficient work flow. Bi-lingual candidates with English/Spanish competency are highly desired but not a requirement.
