~Bay Ship & Yacht (BSY) is actively seeking skilled painters with experience in application of industrial coatings to various structures and fixtures. If you have industrial/residential painting experience and a desire to build or continue your career through training and innovation, we are the right fit for you! We are currently looking for candidates for the following positions:
Journeyman Marine Painter
Qualified Candidates for this Position Possess:
~ Recent painting experience -- (Marine/Industrial Certification, HIGHLY DESIRED)
~ Knowledge of marine or industrial coatings and their proper application
~ Experience in airless and conventional spray painting
~ Sandblasting experience
~ Fluency in the English language (verbal and written)
~ Ability to lift up to 70lbs and move equipment
~ Reliable transportation and availability to work overtime as requested
~ Personal tools required to work within the craft
Skills Testing--Candidates may take a pre-employment skills test demonstrating airless and conventional spraying techniques to be considered for advanced positions.
When scheduled, a candidate must bring the following personal tools for the testing process: airless and conventional spray guns, coveralls, steel toed-work boots and leather gloves.
Work Environment--The Marine Painter is a production worker who will be working in an industrial environment where work is performed in a variety of areas including elevated heights and confined spaces. They may also be subject to loud noises and fluctuating weather conditions.
