Bay Ship & Yacht is a full-service shipyard located in Alameda, CA on the waterfront of San Francisco Bay. We provide drydocking and repair services to most of the commercial and government vessels on the Bay, including tugboats, ferries, cruise ships, pilot boats, yachts and marine vessels of all kinds. The great variety of marine vessels drydocked at our shipyard provides challenging and interesting work for a range of crafts. A specialty at Bay Ship & Yacht is the construction and reconstruction of historic and traditional vessels. Past projects include the reconstruction of the 170' three-masted lumber schooner CA Thayer for the National Park Service; a complete rebuild of the scow schooner Alma; the reproduction of the 120' brig Niagara; a major refit of 307' bark Balclutha; and the recaulking the USS Constitution. Bay Ship & Yacht also engage in major refits and alterations of modern yachts and commercial vessels, including high speed, light weight craft in wood and composites, and commercial vessels in steel or aluminum.
