Customer Service Representative
CA - Pt. Richmond
Svendsen’s Bay Marine, located on the beautiful waters of San Francisco Bay at Pt. Richmond, has an immediate opening for a Customer Service Representative
Svendsen’s Bay Marine provides haul-out and repair services to sail and power yachts, commercial vessels, including Fishing fleets, fire and rescue, and marine vessels of all kinds.

This position is pivotal to Bay Marine’s daily customer relations. The CSR is the voice and face of Svendsen's Bay Marine. He/She serves in welcoming visitors and directing as appropriate; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival or communications. He/She is pivotal in processing paperwork, data entry and proper hand-off to appropriate SBM personnel. This person is often the first and final person a customer will speak to during their scheduled haul-out at SBM.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Answer phones for main business number/service department.
- Schedule customer inquiries and calendar.
- Ensure that every customer inquiry receives a timely response.
- Check customers in/out and communicate yard access, rules, procedures, etc. in a clear and concise manner.
Organize and distribute large volumes of information, mail and telephone calls.
- Research, prioritize and hand off incoming issues and concerns, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature.
- Maintain current electronic & paper filing systems.
- Provide administrative support to management.
- Compile office supply orders for approval and place orders.
- Assists in job initialization per current administrative procedures.
- Assist Estimating and Contracts and project managers in Facilitating the collection of properly signed WO contracts, estimates and PO’s.
- Draft customer invoices and quality control documents for PM’s to review.
- Print invoices for customers and facilitate the initial collection of payment and customer departure process.
ACCOUNTING SUPPORT
- Conduct data entry as needed; timecards, tool tracking, etc.
- Assist and support other managers and departments as appropriate.
- Accomplish additional tasks as assigned and as necessary for the success of the organization.
- Routinely contribute to the continual improvement of the organization.
