SVENDSEN'S BAY MARINE in Richmond is hiring a Metal Shop Fabricator:

Svendsen's Bay Marine, a modern boatyard located in Richmond on the waterfront of San Francisco Bay, provides haul-out and repair services to sail and power yachts, Coast Guard vessels and commercial vessels, including: water taxis, tugboats, pilot boats, and marine vessels of all kinds.

We are actively seeking an entry level Metal Shop Fabricator. Some welding or fabrication experience is preferred, but if you are a fast learner and able to follow instructions you'll have the opportunity to drive your career forward through on-the-job training and hard work!

We are looking for candidates who possess the following traits:    Work Environment—A Metal Shop fabricator is a production worker who will be working in an industrial marine setting where work is performed primarily in the shop and aboard vessels both in and out of the water. The worker may also be subjected to loud noises and fluctuating weather conditions.  Must maintain clean shaven face in order to wear appropriate PPE for the job. This is a hands-on job, so you will need to be comfortable using shop equipment such as saws, grinders, benders and drill presses. If you like building stuff, this is the job for you!
