Bay Machine and Fabrication is seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our rapidly growing team. Bay Machine and Fabrication is a full-service manufacturing company specializing in large-scale metal fabrication, precision machining, and industrial hydraulics. With over 60,000 square feet of dedicated space, we are uniquely qualified to support the heavy industries in and around the San Francisco Bay Area. As a CNC Machinist you will plan, program, set-up, and perform a sequence of machining operations to produce high quality parts. Business is booming, orders are coming in, and no two days are ever alike!
Responsibilities:
- Produce machined components and products on CNC mills.
- Set-up and operate a 2019 Hartford Machine Group double column machining center with FANUC controller.
- Write CNC programs using Mastercam to produce accurate and precise parts.
- Perform accurate inspections and verification of product utilizing basic Quality Control instruments, and then record the findings.
- Make adjustments to maintain required quality.
- Interpret drawings, charts, sketches, specifications, and other documentation for parts to be machined.
- Work with attention to detail while maintaining a clean and organized work space.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability and experience in the above mentioned responsibilities.
- Mastercam training and experience.
- Experience working with FANUC and ProtoTRAK controllers is a plus.
- Experience with manual mills and lathes is a plus.
- Should have strong mechanical and technical abilities/experience to complete a job from start to finish.
- Knowledge of the machining properties of various materials.
- Knowledge of the various types of tooling available.
- Detail oriented, reliable, responsible, and be able to work independently.
- Must have a personal basic machinist tool set; specialized tools will be provided.
- Ability to work as a team member and able to supervise others as needed.
- AA from a Technical College in machining is preferred.
