We are located on the water where the Oakland Estuary meets San Francisco Bay and are searching for Marine Electricians skilled in shipboard electrical systems and equipment.
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision. You should also be one who enjoys the outdoors (after all...it's a shipyard!), fresh air, beautiful skies, occasional starry nights, and a little bit of rain! Basically...a beautiful environment for those who enjoy this amazing Bay Area climate!
Requirements for the position include:
- Minimum 4 years marine and/or industrial electrical experience.
- High Voltage experience.
- Skilled in 480 and 208 VAC 3 phase systems.
- Skilled in the use of test equipment (Megger, VOM, Amp-meters, etc.).
- Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and installation of motors and motor controls.
- Experience in operational testing of electrical equipment.
- Comprehension of schematic diagrams, technical manuals, and the ability to create hand-drawn diagrams of disconnected and/or removed electrical equipment.
