Bay Ship & Yacht Co., is a modern shipyard located on the waterfront of San Francisco Bay. The
Heavy Lift Equipment – Crane Operator will support our shipyard operations by assisting with mobilizing, maintaining and de-mobilizing projects in a safe and efficient manner. The HLE-Crane Operator will operate cranes and related equipment in accordance with BSY, OSHA policies/regulations and equipment manufacturer recommended standards and tolerances.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience operating the following cranes:
- 165 ton RT Grove
- 90 ton RT Grove
- 40 ton RT Grove
- 30 ton RT Grove
- Current NCCCO certification
- Valid CA driver’s license and a driving record in good standing
- Availability to work overtime and on weekends
- Pass a “hands-om” examination to demonstrate proficiency in operation the specific type of crane whish at a minimum shall include pre-start and post-start inspection, maneuvering skills, shutdown, and securing procedures

Pre-Employment Medical Evaluation, Physical Abilities Testing, & Drug Testing Bay Ship & Yacht Co. is a U.S. Federal Contractor and is required to operate in compliance with current government standards and regulations. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment medical evaluation at the company’s designated testing facility. The medical evaluation will include a physical exam, physical abilities test and drug test for the presence of illegal substances including marijuana as it applies to the U.S. Federal Contractors, as well as a background/criminal check.
